Joseph earned a master's degree in Fine Arts from The School of Visual Arts (NYC). Since then, his work has been exhibited internationally, including solo exhibitions in New York and Los Angeles, as well as international shows like Art Basel and Scope. His contemporary gallery representations include Joseph Nahmad, Jack Geary Gallery, and De Re Gallery. He is the author of the best-selling book The Secrets of Oil Painting, and his achievements have earned him numerous awards and grants. Joseph is a working artist with over 10 years of teaching experience. In addition to his work as an artist, he has curated multiple group shows.

In this robust course you’ll learn a traditional approach to classical drawing, starting with the fundamentals. Because good fundamentals ARE master techniques! From proper hand positions to hold a pencil to the various shading techniques.
Next you’ll move to fun, easy exercises designed to help you practice what you’ve learned and make sure you grasp each concept before moving on. Throughout the course, the instructor provides helpful critiques and feedback to guide your progress.
And finally you’ll do more advanced exercises of increasingly difficult subject matters like still life drawing and drawing from your imagination to help you master those skills and prepare you to grow on your own as an artist!
